Bored!!

Well I am sitting here at work and I am very bored so I have decided to blog.  I keep watching my calendar waiting for our next appt which is April 2nd and then another on April 4th but I feel like I haven't been in so long and it's only been 2 weeks.  I guess at our last appt I didn't get to see my Dr. and I didn't have an ultrasound to see my little one so I guess that just has me anxious to go back.  Today our furniture finally came in...I feel like I ordered it forever ago.  They had called yesterday to give me a time frame from 8 a.m to 12 p.m and I was hoping Bert would be home to meet the delivery people.  Well he ended up having to go to work so we called his mom to come and sit at the house cause someone had to be there so she was just going to call me and I was going to hurry over there so I could make sure they didn't damage anything.  The last thing I do in the morning is straighten my hair and that is usually around 7 but I was taking my time today so it was about 7:30 and Bert was getting ready to leave and he comes in and tells me my furniture is here.  Really??  At 7:30 in the morning these guys must be early birds.  I was extremely happy!!!  They unloaded it all and it's all packaged up so I couldn't see if it was damaged or not and I dreaded coming to work cause I wanted to unbox everything and get going on setting it up but here I sit still patiently waiting for 5.  Anyways I guess our baby was pretty excited about his/her furniture cause he/she was very active this morning and all I had for breakfast was a bowl of cheerios so I don't know why but is was fun sitting at my desk feeling our baby rolling around in there for about 10 minutes.  And he/she has been pretty active all day but I guess that half piece of chocolate cake from Jack's didn't help at lunch but it sure was yummy!!!  So my evening tonigt will consist of unboxing and setting up the furniture if I can get my hubby to help.

About a week ago my baby center app said I need to take a baby moon before I get all huge and not wanting to do anything but I was like yeah that will never happen so I just ignored it.  Last night while there was a commercial between "One Born Every Minute" Bert was like why don't we book a weekend to Galveston, he said we could rent one of those little bike things and ride along the seawall and find other fun things to do.  I was very surprised but I guess after watching that show he really understands how much we have to go through.  He is so sweet sometimes!!  Looking for hotels and availability really gave me something to do today being we are looking for a room in Galveston on such short notice but hopefully we can come across something. 

I almost forgot.  This past weekend was very busy for us.  We had two very important weddings and we couldn't miss either one.  The first was for Bert's niece Kara and it was in Edna at 3 then Ganado for the reception.  Everything was beautiful and she looked gorgeous of course!!  Congrats Kara & Coby!!   We got to stay long enough to see all the family and talk for a little while then it was off to the second wedding.  My cousin Brandy got married in Dayton at 5:30.  We didn't make it for the wedding but we made it about 7 just in time to eat and I was hungry.  We had a good time seeing everyone and we even did the grand march with Livy Lou (my niece-she had a good time) and everything turned out so nice.  Congrats Brandy and Blake hope y'all are having an awesome time at the Bahamas!!  It was over about 11 and I was exhausted so I figured I would sleep late for once.  Yeah that didn't work out.  I was up and ready early so I met my dad downstairs for breakfast so Bert could sleep longer and we left about 10ish.  Then we met up with half the family to eat at Chili's in Rosenberg so by the time I got home Sunday afternoon I was wiped out and I didn't feel fully recooperated until this morning when I got up. 

Well that's it for today.  I will have a baby update in about 2 weeks!!

21 Week News!!

Saturday March 5th exactly 21weeks I felt a kick for the first time on the outside and was so excited I yelled at Bert to hurry and come over but all I got was one kick.  The same thing happened the next day I felt one but it never happened again.  I didn't really feel anything on the outside Monday.  But Tuesday evening he was sitting in his recliner and I was on the couch and I felt our little one again and told him to hurry up maybe he could feel this time.  Well he waited about 30 seconds and told me I was lying that I wasn't feeling anything but I knew our little one was still moving around so I told him to wait and as soon as I said that he felt it for the first time!!!  Not only did he get one good kick he got 3 in a row!!  It was so exciting!!  

Now for our appt.  I had another appt on Wednesday the 9th so I was 21 weeks 4 days.  They don't do regular appts on Wednesday they just do surgeries well since Dory had to go in and have a little procedure done we talked them into seeing me so we wouldn't have to make 2 trips.  The only thing is I didn't get to see my regular Dr. but I got to see his assistant Mary Jane which is just as good cause I like her.  They called me back pretty quick and I didn't have to wait long.  I gained 2lbs which is good she said my weight gain is right on track.  That puts me at a total gain of 13lbs so far.  I finally got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and it was awesome!!  The babies heartbeat was 152 which they say the higher it is it's a girl but you never know.  She also said that my urine sample was great and the pics from my anatomy scan all looked perfect so I have a perfect little healthy baby in me!!!  She didn't do an ultrasound which is ok since i just had one a week and half ago but it still would have been nice to see my little one since I will have to wait another month.  They want to do another big ultrasound in a month which I'm not sure why and those are done on Saturday's then I have to come back that following Monday to do my glucose test which I am not looking forward to but whatever I need to do to make sure I have a healthy baby I will do.  After Dory finally got out we went to eat at the Olive Garden which was so yummy and did a little shopping so needless to say I didn't make it back to work Wednesday but it was a fun day out of the office for me.

Moving Around!!

I just realized I don't think I have blogged about being able to feel the baby yet.  A little over a week ago when I was about 19 weeks along I thought I might have felt the baby move but then I was like no it was probably just gas or something.  Throughout the week I could feel little things but still not sure if it was the baby or not.  Finally this past weekend I told Bert that I could for sure feel it and I knew it wasn't anything else.  Know sometimes at work when I'm not doing much and every evening when I am just relaxing I can feel our little one moving around in there!!  I think it is just awesome and I can't wait for Bert to be able to feel he/she!!
