Moo-La is having a baby too!!!

As some of y'all may know I have a cow named Moo-La.  I got her when she was about 3 days old and bottle raised her to the wonderful friendly cow she is today.   She has already had one heifer and was a good mommy unlike her's but we had to sell her since they would still be in the same pasture with the same bull.  While we were gone on our honeymoon our neighbor had told us that the bulls had really been following her around and she might be bred so of course I was all excited.  I figured she would be having her baby around May but now it looks like she will be somewhere around middle of June and I just think that is so awkward that we are both prego at the same time.  Since then our neighbor has sold all of his cows and bulls since it's been so dry so Moo-La is all by herself out in the pasture.  It makes me sad sometimes when I am coming home she is standing next to the fence looking at the cows on the other side cause she is so lonely.  We hadn't been going out much to visit her cause I feel bad when she's all excited to see us and we have no feed for her she just walks off but Bert went the other day and got her some high protein cubes since she does have a little one growing in there.  While we were feeding her Tuesday I asked if we could put her in our horse pasutre until she had the baby so she will be right there and of course he said yes.  We have 48 acres on Lake Texana and our house sits on 2 and right behind our house we have about 2 more fenced off from the rest of the pasture that we usually keep our horses in but since it had been so dry we let the horses out to roam the rest so if we put her in the horse pasture I can walk outside and see her everday right there!!!  We talked more about it yesterday while we were feeding her and Bert said if we put her in there and she has another heifer we could tame that one down like she is and we can also KEEP her!!!  Now we wouldn't even think about keeping this one if the bull that bred Moo-La was still there but that bull is gone so we have no worries, but if it's a bull calf we will sell him so keep your fingers crossed that we have a heifer.  I will update and post pics as soon as my Moo-La becomes a mommy again.

As for me I am 32 Weeks and 5 Days along and these days it just seems to be kind of creeping by.  I guess I am getting more and more anxious that of course it's gonna go by slow.  We haven't got to see our baby since April 2nd and it's driving me nuts and our next u/s isn't until June 18th.  It's only 3 weeks but I'm sure it's gonna feel like forever so I will just try and keep myself busy which shouldn't be to hard since we have so much going on the next 2 weeks.  I am still constantly growing and my poor little feet can't handle too much more weight but all the discomforts are well worth it.  I have an appt next Tuesday so we will see what the Dr. says then but until then I will leave y'all with some pics not of me but of my beautiful cow.  I will post pics of me next week.

31 Weeks 3 Days!

I feel like I am so close to having this baby even though I still have 2 long months to go.  I am getting bigger by the day and just last week my ankles started swelling just a little, but I can't complain about anything cause I feel like I have been so lucky with my pregnancy since everything has gone so good.  About a month ago I started having this pain really high up like under my right boob well everytime I didn't have my bra on it was fine so I figured that was it and bought me a new one and it didn't help any but the pain still left at the end of the day so I just let it go.  Last week I noticed that the pain was no longer going away so I just waited it out until my next appt. which was yesterday.  Also on Monday morning I woke up with this very slight pressure low down but it wasn't bad so that was the next question for my Dr.  One of the nurses came in and checked my blood pressure, weight, and the heartbeat.  Heartbeat was at 148 this time and in just two very short weeks I have gained 7lbs so now that puts me at a total of 29lbs total gain so far.  I had told the nurse about the pressure so she knew the Dr. would want to check and make sure everything was ok.  Let me just say my Dr. is a very very busy man and I am surprised that I have been so lucky to see him at all but one appt. and they usually take forever...I schedule every appt for the same time everytime which is 1:30 and usually I am not out of there until 3ish sometimes later, but there's a lot of babies to be born.  So about 3 minutes after the nurse leaves she comes back in and ask if Dr. Nanda (not sure if I spelled that right) is ok that Dr. Cook was at a delivery and I was fine with that cause I wanted to hurry and get out of there.  Well 5 very short minutes later I hear Dr. Cook's voice in the hallway and I was so happy and sure enough here he comes.  He checked to see how everything was holding up and he said my stitch is holding up great and the pressure is because the our little ones head is low down and putting more pressure on my bladder and everything.  Then I asked about the pain under my boob so he told me it could possibly be my gallbladder or pancreas so he wanted to do blood work to make sure it was all ok.  So I will get those results back on Thursday.  My husband was finally able to go back to the Dr. with me this time so I decided we needed to tour the hospital.  My sister had all of her kids there so I knew where to go but I needed to show him.  We went across and up to labor and delivery and they had two new babies in there and they were so cute!!  The hospital is right across the street from where my appt's. are so we always park in the garage at my clinic and weren't to sure were to go for the hospital so we went to the lobby to check it out.  We looked down one hallway and could see outside so we headed that way.  There was a map on the wall we were looking at to see where we were and a very nice lady that worked at the hospital stopped and asked if she could help.  So we told her what we were doing and she gave us great directions to every where we will need to go on that day.   We walked outside and could see the street we drive everytime we go to the Dr. so it should be pretty easy for us.  Oh yeah and they have valet.  I was so worried about being left alone while Bert goes to park the car but not no more!!  I am almost ready for our little one to come and then the fun begins!!!  I'm not going to post any belly pics this time but I have another appt on May 31st so maybe I will with that post.  It looks the same just huge.  My maternity shirts are starting to not fit over it.  I feel like those really huge people that wear there shirts with there belly hanging out the bottom.

29 1/2 Weeks

I can not believe how fast my pregnancy seems to be going, but the quicker the better cause I am so anxious for our little one to be here!!  This past weekend was great!!  We do things every know and then but mostly just stay at home and it gets pretty boring.  Friday we got a call from a friend of ours and he needed Bert to look at his fridge that he had at his camp house on the Sandy's River.  Of course that was a little bit of work for Bert but it was nice to get out and go see some "long lost friends" of ours.  We had a really good time and ended up staying out there til a little after 10.  Saturday I was pretty tired so we just kind of bummed all morning then it was time to get ready for a wedding.  Some friends of our's got married this past weekend so 2 days in a row of getting out of the house and even though I was kind of tired it was great!!  The wedding was beautiful and we got to visit with people we haven't seen in a while!!  Neither one of us made it to long before we decided it was time to go home that was around 9:30 but we also had Church in the morning and I didn't want to be to tired for that.  Church was great the next morning and then after Bert had to go to work in Bay City so with him out of the house that was my time to clean.  As soon as he left I started and I wasn't finished cleaning until after he was already home which was about 3 1/2 hours later so I was wore out.  I fell asleep about 3:30 got up at 5 cooked supper and cleaned the kitchen up and laid back down.

Now for my very short and sweet appt. update.  I walked in the nurse weighed me and I only gained 1lb surprisingly.  It feels like every appt I gain 4-5 lbs not matter if they are 2 weeks apart or 4 weeks apart.  My blood pressure was good and then we got to hear the heartbeat at it was back up to 141.  This child's heartbeat is all over the place.  Dr. Cook came in measured my belly (he said I was measuring good) asked if I had any bleeding, cramps, or pressure and I said no and asked if I had any questions I said no scheduled my 2 week appt and left.  I still can't get over how well this pregnancy is going and I only have about 2 1/2 months left!!

And for some great news...my friend Rosy will be having her little man Chaz Allen pretty soon!!  She is 41 weeks and he decided he did not wanna leave his mama on his own so her Dr. decided to induce her.  She went in yesterday evening to get things started and this morning she has already dialated to 2 so hopefully he will be here pretty quick!!
